Upcoming ASM meetings:
Oct 29th - Room 224
Nov 5th - Room 174
Nov 12th - Room 174
Nov 19th - Room 261

Elections:
- ASM elections are on Oct 27th(Monday) at 6.00pm in Room 174
- Last day to send in nominations is on Oct 23rd(Thursday) by 6.00pm
- Potluck for new and old ASM board members - may be held sometime in Dec(night after finals)
- New ASM officers will start attending ASM meetings during the last two weeks of the Fall quarter.

Second Year Representative:
- One second year representative
- No co-positions

Coffee Talks:
- 2nd year ASM board will do Coffee Talk for all 1st year students
- To be held after the all elections are over
- Coffee-talk assignments will be finalized after the ASM elections

Composite Photo:
- Need a composite photo of the second years in the Student Lounge
- Becky will be able to get one for us

Course discussions:
- Informal course discussions on Thursday at the Grad.
- Katherine will take notes during the informal meetings
- Student reviews on various courses - Standardize the procedure and transition to the new ASM board members.
- Ben will send an e-mail about the informal course discussions

ASM Elections:
  - ASM elections held on Oct 27th at 6.00pm in Room 174.
  - Anu will bring paper ballots for the elections
  - ASM nominations accepted until Oct 23th, can nominate themselves or nominate others
  - Send an e-mail on Oct 24th notifying the unfilled positions in the ASM board

New Leader Orientation:
  - Initially decided to conduct New Leader Orientation On Dec 5th(Friday) from 10.00am to 12 noon
  - The board suggested to postponse it to the first week of January, on Jan 9th

New business:
  - Thanksgiving celebrations to be held a wek-end before Thanksgiving - Nov 22nd

Club Kick-Offs:
- To be held on October 9th from 3.30pm - 5.00pm in Room 174.
- All the ASM officers to update the by-laws

GSM bi-weekly newsletter:
- Include upcoming events in the newsletter.
- Anu will touchbase with Becky to obtain the list of upcoming events.

Guest Speaker:
- Roberta Kuhlman gave an update on alumni involvement in the GSM.
- Not all the alumni have their contact information on the GSM Alumni site.
- Roberta and five other members will meet on Friday to discuss more about involvement of alumni.
